Wiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!

As mentioned in my last post, I hosted my office Memorial Day cookout at my house yesterday. We had a great turnout, good food, and lots of fun! I have to say, though, one of the highlights was watching the guys play the Wii. The pic above is of Darin, Jeremy F., Jeremy K., and his son, Derrick racing each other in a game of Mario Kart. Darin was the clear winner and I'm pretty sure no parent should let their young children play video games with Jeremy K. Let's just say he struggled. And he made it known. And he was fun to watch.
Here's the group of kiddos gathered around watching the big boys play. Before this picture, several of the little guys raced each other... and you might note that they ALL did better than Jeremy. Also, I think they were chanting "Yoshi" at this point in time, loudly and in unison (Darin was playing as Yoshi and I think he may have started the chant himself!). :)
So, it was a great cookout once again. I really enjoyed having everyone over. I'm so blessed to work with a group of people who I also consider close friends. You guys rock (although not so much on Guitar Hero...)!

Ahhh... Memorial Day Weekend

We started out this illustrious Memorial Day weekend with a picnic at Payt's "school" Friday morning, where we played until we were completely exhausted. We followed up the day by buying a new vehicle later that night- we went in the dealership at about 6:30 and 5 hours later we headed for home with our brand new Toyota Rav4 (isn't it cool!). Oh yeah, and the kids were up with us the whole time. We didn't get home until midnight... need I say more???
After a busy Saturday of sleeping in, tree shopping and planting, mall shopping and a night out with friend, we spent Sunday afternoon near Lawton. We went hiking a little bit, watched the buffalo, had a picnic dinner and drove up Mt. Scott. Above is a great picture of my dad "Gramps" looking for bullfrogs with the boys.
Todd soaking in the sun.
Sweet Payt.
I love this picture of Luke... what a sweet kid!
So, we got home late AGAIN tonight after an unfortunate accident on top of Mt. Scott- Payt was walking on the rocks with us and the wind was really, really strong, so he was having a hard time keeping his balance. Then he fell down and ended up with a small rock literally stuck IN his knee. Todd had to hold him down while I pryed it out with my fingernails. My poor baby. After that, it was just time to go home.
Now I'm here writing this instead of cleaning my house to get ready for a cookout I'm hosting tomorrow for my fellow church staff. I guess I better get busy (even though it is almost midnight... yikes!). I hope you all had a great weekend and have an even better Memorial Day. Don't forget to remember and celebrate all of our military. Please keep my brother in your prayers as he's serving in Baghdad right now. Thanks!

ELLIOT!

So the past few days Payt has taken to calling himself Elliot. You see, we're kind of big E.T. fans around our house, and Payt has decided that he is, in fact, Elliot. At school yesterday he made all of his teachers and friends call him Elliot. Not only that, he feels he MUST ride his bike every minute we are home (he has to stay in character, you know).

I have to say, I kind of like Payt as Elliot. When he's just Payt he has trouble listening to me, but when he's Elliot and I call him by that name, he does exactly what I say.

I know Halloween is a ways off, but I think I know what Payt will be this year. All we need is a red-hooded sweatsirt and a basket to put on the front of his bike. Anybody have a stuffed E.T. they want to offer??? Man, I love that movie.

A Treat for My Loyal Readers

Here's a special sneak peek at a video I made along with the assistance of Darin & Jeremy. This video will be shown Sunday morning during worship... but for you, my loyal readers, an early viewing. Let me know what you think.

Happy Mother's Day to Me!

I had a great Mother's Day today! After church Todd, the boys, myself and Mom & Dad went to Outback for lunch, then headed out to the Bricktown Ballpark for a baseball game. It was Susan Komen day, so mom and I got free pink hats and we both got in the game free since it was Mother's Day. The pic above is Luke and me hangin' out at the game.

Nana & Payt walking to the ballpark. Payt loves his Nana!

Payt being silly as always.

Luke & Gramps enjoying a little time together.

So, it was a great day. I got to spend lots of time with the fam, celebrate my awesome mom, and I got a gift card... what more could you ask for???

The Reveal

And the answer is... #131.

I have to say, several of you have asked me which one was false, and when I told you, several of you said, "Oh, I could really see you doing that."

Do I really look like a pyro? Maybe you shoudn't answer that.
